COUPLE OF PLACES REMAINING

Nick Morrall  and Shaun Baker are running a coached session at Jackfield on Saturday 10th April at Jackfield. He is supported by Grant McKelvie, however to be safe and within BC guidance, the coached spaces are limited to 12.

This is a CLUB ACTIVITY, as such non-coached numbers are open however the event will operate under the general instruction of Nick as Lead Paddler.

This event is open to those who have had a little experience of White Water paddling, it is not suitable for complete novices due to the current levels on the Severn. Novice events will start in May.

There are two types of registration for this event; Coached which will be coached by Nick (limited to 12 places), and Non-coached where the attendee is expected to be able to not require coaching to paddle at Jackfield. Akin to a Peer Paddle. If you are unsure which you should book onto please email secretary@shrewsburycanoeclub.org 

Required equipment;

• Boat that must have airbags in it
• Buoyancy Aid
• Spray Deck
• Helmet
• Paddle
• Warm, non-cotton clothing. The water is cold so a wet or dry suit is important
• Waterproof over-layer
• Warm change of clothes, snack, hot drink etc

Grant McKelvie will be at the containers at Frankwell at 9am to make club kit available if required (£7.50 hire applies), before meeting at Jackfield at 10.15 to be on the water at 10.30. Likely to finish at 14.00 or there abouts. 

The guest code at Jackfield TCC site and car park will be provided to attendees by end of Friday (£2.50 charge for parking at TCC site applies to non-TCC members).
