Shrewsbury Canoe Club focuses primarily on the recreational side of paddle sport and also has an active canoe polo section and a growing interest in flat water racing.
The club prides itself on introducing children (from about 10y.o.)and adults alike to the various forms of paddlesport in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The club keeps costs to members as low as possible to make our sport accessible to as much of the local community as possible.

River & Pool Sessions
Pre-booked Tuesday pool sessions at The Quarry Swimming Centre run 7-8pm & 8-9pm from mid September through to March or early April. Members wishing to book a place should contact the Secretary for up to date information.
Monday evening sessions on the Severn at Frankwell and Wednesday evenings at Llangollen run from the beginning of May to mid September. Prospective members are welcome to come to two taster sessions before joining. Contact the Secretary for more information.
Canoe Polo sessions are on Mondays from September to April 8-9 pm in the Quarry Centre – get there early & get on the water! Contact the Polo Secretary for more information
Join via the secure membership site . Annual membership is £15 for youths & students, £20 for individuals, £35 for a family.
There’s also a Facebook group where a bunch of members and their friends hang out and where you will find loads of pictures of recent paddles / trips etc.
A boat hire booking form is now available for use by members.
