Dave Butler is organising a Club Trip on the North Tyne at the start of November. This replaces the annual Tyne Tour, and is for SCC Club members.

Great opportunity to paddle WW touring rivers grade 2/3 and/ grade 3/4 in stunning scenery with fellow members and friends. It will be a fabulous weekend, arriving the Fri evening, and heading back South on Sun evening.

Suitable for: happy on grade 2 water as a member of a led group on longish trips lasting  probably up to 6 hours paddling time.

We have booked accommodation  for the nights of Friday 5th and Saturday 6th Nov at Greencarts Farm, Humshaugh, NE46 4BW, (which is exactly where we want to be for access to the North Tyne) with  options as follows:

It uses the camping facilities which are located close by. Bring your own cooking equipment food and sleeping bag (and hot water bottle?)

Programme

Impossible to be precise, all subject to number of coaches/leaders/weather/river levels but the Lune and the Eden should be runing at a decent level and it looks  like a good release from Kielder water n theNorth Tyne so expect Club Trips or Peer Trips in some seriously beautiful scenery on excellent WW touring rivers at grades from 1/2 to 3/4. Leaders so far are Steve Saunders,  DaveB, Matt Dunn  Tom Hyde.
