A Group Session has been secured at Alderford Lake, Whitchurch, SY13 3JQ on Wednesday 07th July 21 at 1800 hrs, on the lakeside ready to paddle. Should you be unable to meet at this time then still feel welcome to join us but the lake does close at 2000 hrs. The lake is open to the public and as you pay a charge (£8) .. should you be confident on flat water and wish to attend earlier then that is up to you but the club activities will not commence until a coach is present.

The lake is checked monthly for water quality and is popular with swimmers. Facilities include free car parking, changing and toilets. It will be open to the public but Wednesday Evenings should not be busy.

The lake offers us the opportunity to get wet in a pleasant environment of about 19-20*. This session is aimed at building sea kayakers confidence by allowing them to practice capsize and recovery drills in the presence of a coach and experienced colleagues.

Please remember to bring a helmet, goggles and nose plug as well as your usual equipment and some extra warm clothing just in case you are cold afterwards. Trolleys are also helpful for a short portage.
Should you require club equipment then I suggest collecting it on Monday 05th July 21.

Important - There is a Waiver to sign if it is your first time at Alderford. To save time please try doing this online.

Duncan Smalley will be Coaching. Should another coach be able to assist that would be Great.

On this occasion I have negotiated that there is no fee for Coaches.

This is the first time we have used this venue and I hope to arrange further activities. Please ensure your boats are clean so as not to cause contamination.
