Nick Morrall is organising an epic PEER TRIP for the club in Yorkshire, his home ground. He's been banging on about doing this for years... Lets help him make it happen with as many as possible getting up there for some epic paddling.

A trip suited to every discipline and all club members. As such the whole trip will be peer led full of fun, laughs and new river adventures. 

Arriving on Friday the 24th September and departing on Sunday we have plenty of time to bag some Yorkshire classics.

For those wishing for some white water there is the River Ure at Ripon or the tees barrage whitewater course. For a more fruitful section people can bag their first waterfall on the upper tees. 

The Sea kayaking and surfing fix can be met on the east coast with Scarborough or Cayton Bay and if people want some touring we are staying on a stunning stretch of the River Ouse between Boroughbridge and York. 

Being a peer paddle you will be paddling with other club members, but responsible for your own decisions on the water. It would be worth checking others are up for the sort of paddling you want to do. There will definitely be white water suitable for all skills, a few sessions prior to Jackfield and/or Dee will make this more enjoyable. 

Staying at Aldwark Scouts Activity Centre on the banks of the Ouse we have camping and bunkhouse / dorm options available to us. Or you are welcome to stay elsewhere if you prefer. It is self catering, with cooking facilities available. Campers will also be able to share use of catering and toilet facilities, etc. The price for the accommodation (both bunk house and camping) is £30 for the weekend.

If you need any kit for the weekend please let us know and we will arrange getting the containers open on the Wed evening before.
