Currently I have only got 12 people booked on the weekend. The bunkhouse is booked and the event will be going ahead. So I currently run the risk of costing the club some money. So. On 1st September I will be opening the trip up to neighbouring canoe clubs. So if you want to come along, please book your slot.
Simon Pond will be running another trip to the River Dart for 2022. This year, I may even put an appearance in.
I must stress, when booking, payment will be expected, this will be non returnable, but you have the right to sell your spot to another member.
General plan will be as other years.
I will be travelling south Friday morning, to hopefully run the upper Dart. This will be a peer paddle, it's grade 4. If not running, surfing an option at Croyde Bay, again a peer paddle.
Saturday and Sunday I'll put club leaders cap on and lead down the loop and down to Buckfastleigh. Grade 3, but with large stretches of flat water, after every event, to re unite paddlers with boats etc!!
Would like those attending to of done MEM a few times. You've got all the summer of 2022 to sort that.
Saturday evening, I'll book us into the Prince of Wales in Princetown for evening meal. I'll do a recon of the joint on Friday evening. The things I do for you!!
We will be staying in Powdermills Bunkhouse. Either in the bunkhouse or in vans etc on car park. If you are vaning there will be charges, but will have access to bunkhouse, showers, loos, kitchen, drying room and the two breakfasts.
Price will include either bunk in bunk house, or access to bunkhouse, breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning.
Cost £38 per person for bunk in bunkhouse.
£28 per person on the car park.
