A 5km time trial for those able to paddle a racing/ski/sea boat (without too many capsizes). From Frankwell, upstream for 2.5 km and return.
Times will be recorded for posterity and comparison with a post-New Year repeat in Janaury to see the effect of the Christmas festivities.
Required equipment: racing boat, ski, sea kayak or touring boat; buoyancy aid; paddle (club kit available, £7.50 hire applies).
Wear warm, non-cotton clothing, possibly with a wind proof layer if colder.
