Simon Pond is planning a trip to Cardiff International White Water Park.
Not really a led trip. CIWW do not allow leaders to take rescue kit onto the course, they provide rescue staff. So all I can do is re unite people with their boats in the bottom pool.
This is a artificial course. Conveyor belt takes you up from bottom pool, then paddle around course, ending up in bottom pool.
The sessions are divided into 2 sessions.
Session 1. 9.30am - 12.15pm, releasing at 4 cumecs raising to 6.
Session 2 13.45 - 16.30, releasing at 8. Simon will be on water for both sessions.
At a 4 it's grade 2, at 8 grade 3. No real dangers, apart from other boats and rafts.
As this is managed by CIWW, there is no limit to numbers.
Cost is £10 PER session. Best if you go to their website, download form before arriving. Saves time.
If you need club kit, can be sorted in week before. But individual will have to transport boat to Cardiff.
Suitable for OC1 and Kayak, but probably not Trad. Canoe.
