Have you had a couple of pool sessions with us but fancy a river paddle? Or a paddle at Frankwell in the summer and would like to get back on the water? Then this paddle is for you!

Grant and Shaun will be running a beginners paddle on the Severn from Dale End car park in Ironbridge down to Jackfield. An opportunity to paddle on the Severn on calm water, to practice some skills and get some river experience. Great if you've been at the pool and fancy getting onto some natural water.

For anyone who fancies it at the end of the trip, there will be the opportunity to paddle the low grade Jackfield rapids, but this is not compulsory. 

Meet at Jackfield rapids (Telford Canoe Club) car park at 10.00 to sort shuttles back to Dale End. I will issue the gate code just before.

You will need a boat with air bags, paddle, BA, helmet, spray deck, a drink and some lunch ideally. You'll need a wet suit or dry suit, and a wet weather jacket to wear over a wet suit. A change of clothes is also important. If you need to borrow equipment please let me know on 07837 963160 and book it out and pay for the hire via our website. I will open the containers on evening of 9th December for you to collect what you need - you will be responsible for getting it to the river and back again.

This trip will be subject to river levels, Shaun and I will make a call the day prior if its looking too high for a beginner paddle.
