Call for interest - Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning course

CNTP is a land / desk based course for sea kayakers. The aim is to give participants the tools to enable them to plan and navigate effectively on coastal journeys in moderate sea conditions i.e. coastal journeys including islands up to 2 nautical miles offshore in areas of tidal movement up to 2 knots.

The course would be run by Sue Couling, one of the country's top sea kayak coaches and a member of Shrewsbury club. 

It will either be one day in a village hall in the Shrewsbury area or two consecutive days in Anglesey. If it is Anglesey, then the mornings will be in the 'classroom' and the afternoons will be putting the theory into practice on the sea. 

There are 12 places available.

There will be a fee, which is yet to be decided. In addition there will be a charge for venue hire. 

If the course is in Anglesey it will be held at Anglesey Outdoors, Holyhead in one of their annexe's which also has accommodation for 8. Other accommodation may be available. You will need to have your own kayak and suitable kit. More info on that to follow.

There is a registration period from today, (13th), until 21st December so please express your interest ASAP. I will confirm prices and venue etc etc later.
