the 3Ds next exciting adventure is the Weaver Valley Canoe Trail which sits within the Weaver Valley and across some of Cheshire's finest countryside
The trail starts from the activity center at Winsford Flash and follows a gentle path of meandering waterways river and canal.
we are going to be paddling 13 miles of river and canal along some very pretty and also industrial sections of Cheshire. there will be some locks so portaging will be required at times.
you will need as always a good sense of humor
Ability to paddle in a straight line and some experience of paddling against the wind.
a boat , BA paddle, ( if sup sup waist leash), wet suit and Cag or drysuit, spare clothing , personal first aid kit, (a trolley if you have a heavy boat or canoe), food and drink. ( think the traditional 3 Ds second breakfast etc).Shelter and throw/tow lines optional.
if windy you may want to (if wind is in the right direction) bring a sail, Brolley etc to aid the fun and amusement.
we will be meeting at the start aka the Winsford marina CW7 3DD at 9 am sharp. Where we will sort out shuttle etc this is quite a longish paddle and shuttle so please note we need to be ready to hit the water at 9:30 at the latest which includes a 25 minute shuttle. End will be at Leigh Arms (and Action Bridge ( layby ) CHESHIRE CW8 4QT, UK
Sorry did i not mention money for pub afterwards and possible meal as usual. There are a few locks to portage and for those who like it bridges and swing bridges to look at the underside off along with unusual views of Northwick by river and the Anderton boat lift.
