a few years ago we paddled down  a section of the shannon from carrick to portumna and i am thinking of doing it again and trying to get right down to Limerick.  Lots of big lakes and wide river sections,  sea kayaks or tandem canoes.  ,Probably  on commercial camp sites for the first and last nights but wild camping  whilst on the journey.

thinking of travelling on an early morning ferry  on a friday and coming back on teh sunday nine days later but this could be tweaked to meet other folks plans.

Cost will depend on how quickly we book ferries and on how amny people and boats we can get onto/into cars but  allowing for ferries, all petrol, camp fees and cost of shuttling vehicles to take out i reckon it will be  no moroe than  £350 per person and maybe less
