White Water Trip
Coach/Leader: Grant McKelvie & Steve Thomas
Grant & Steve are leading a Club Trip on G2/3 water on the Lower Treweryn in Bala on Sunday 25 June. This trip is a step up from Jackfield and Mile End Mill, on the most fabulous stretch of N Wales water. If you are unsure if this trip is for you, please give me a shout.
It is Dam Release, so will only go ahead if a release is confirmed, usually in the week prior. Likely relocate to Dee if not. Likely we will meet at 09:00 for Breakfast at Manon's Cafe at the WW centre, but paddle meet will be 10.00 at the Tyn Cornel campsite where parking is c.£6 per car for the day.
Paddlers should be happy paddling in a straight(ish) line, getting into and out of eddies, and comfortable with a wet exit.
9 Club Paddle led places. More led places may be available if additional leaders can make it - put yourself on the waiting list if the event is full so we can gauge demand.
Required kit of boat, air bags, paddle, spray deck, helmet and buoyancy aid provided by the Club for £8.50 charge, payable at booking. The boat booking must also be made here:
Hire Your Boat Here
Attendees must arrange own transport of boat to location, which can be collected on a Monday evening at Frankwell, and returned prior to the next Mon evening. Or give Grant a call on 07837 963160 to arrange alternative boat pick up.
Please bring non-cotton clothes for paddling in, footwear for paddling in (essential), water proof jacket and warm change of clothes.
