SHREWSBURY CANOE CLUB PADDLE
the 4 Ds next trip
TRIP INFORMATION: Abermule river seven and down this an approx ten-mile paddle.
Suitable for any paddler that can paddle ten miles & negotiate moving water, canoe, sup or kayak welcome, properly not suitable for sea kayak style as will be paddling at the slowest craft rate. If you’re unsure if this paddle is for you, please ask Del or Dave

WHERE: Abermule lay-by on the A483 large Lay-by on the A483 nr Abermule, look for the right hand junction with a bridge over the Severn 50 metres away.

of note there are some ripples along the way *In low flows these features do not show, but put some mid to high volume on the river and they pop up and say hello in old school think grade 1 possibly 2. we may depending on water levels ands who wants to come change venue if required to accommodate everyone. so this means bring a HELMET just in case
SUGGESTED KIT: boat, paddle(s) BA, wetsuit, Dry-suit, kag and dry trousers or a combination of this type and ensure your clothing are of a warm nature if get wet and if not defiantly bring spare clothing and a towel with you on the trip,
personal first aid kit, food & drink for the day (at least second breakfast/lunch & biscuits!) personally first aid kit etc. Maps are not needed but if you feel you would like to bring one thats fine but please ensure its stowed away when not in use.
