Grant and Sandy (and probably others) are running a day at MEM on Sat 23 December - escape the early arrival of in-laws with a day on the river. Club Paddle.

This will be subject to river levels, and confirmed during the week leading up to the event.

Plan is to meet at MEM at 0900 for a play for a couple of hours. Then a quick cuppa, before heading up to the Horseshoe Weir, and a run back down to MEM, either with a car shuttle or via the canal. Options to run or portage Serpents Tail.

Suitable for anyone who has done a little on moving water as likely flows will make it a challenge for a genuine first timer. Essential to have warm winter paddling kit for a December paddle.

Open to 5 'Club Paddle' places unless other leaders would like to come along as well. If the Club Paddle fills up pop your name on the waiting list and we will try and get you in.

Also open as a Peer Trip if you are comfortable and confident NOT being led, and can make your own decisions on the water, etc. 

You will need to bring;

- Boat with airbags

- paddle

- Deck

- BA

- Helmet

- Winter personal kit (dry suit or winter wet suit, etc)

- Warm change of clothes

- Hot drinks, snacks etc
