With a similar drive to that of the Galslyn I plan on taking a group of Experienced White Water Kayakers to Gods Own County for a play on the River Wharfe.
Meeting at 09:30 on the 17th February at Linton Carpark BD236BQ we will paddle the upper Wharfe in the morning and hopefully if time allows the middle section to include the amazing Appletreewick Falls.
There are plenty of campsites for those who wish to drive up Friday evening. Search around Grassington for some close to the river itself. If you are driving up Friday and want some river ideas for a paddle please let me know.
With this trip being in home territory, there will be a couple of Yorkshire Paddlers joining us who know the sections and can come provide some light entertainment. For those who have met Matty and Luke will happily concur.
As with most of the water in Yorkshire it is very rain dependant so please can we all do the rain dance a week in advance.
