I'm planning a session at Simpsons Pool initially for sea kayakers to practice deep water rescues.  Simpsons Pool/Pond/Lake (you decide) is clean, it doesn't recieve any sewage overflow, and so is a perfect venue for us to swim next to our boats!  I thought we could practice (or learn for the first time) any of the following: heal hook rescue, basic roll, re-entry roll, rear deck recovery, paddle float use, uncontious scoop rescue, hand of god (uncontious but still in the boat), or anything new people would like to try.  We can also mess about standing up in our boats, traversing our boats, rocky landings, paddling from the back deck, edging, hanging draws, handbrake turns etc.  It's a great venue to get wet next to your car pretty close to home and practice most aspects of you paddling without having to worry about waves, wind, comfort for the rest of the day, the long journey home or getting ill from sewage.

The venue is recently available to us and I will likely put some more of these on across the rest of winter.  Arthog have overall responcibility for the site and are allowing us access, we have agreed a cost of £5 per paddler for a session and that money will go straight to Arthog from the club for the benifit of the children they work with.

I'll limit to six other mostly due to limited parking.

As great as the venue is the water is colder than the river and than the sea, so approprait clothing is important.  Thick wet suit or a dry suit I would say, otherwise your session could be pretty short.  I will buy myself an extra thick rubber swimming hat after posting this.

The location is here on google maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5gmqXSAmJX2EHwQQA

and what three words is cherry.hairstyle.canines

I'll be at the gate letting people in at the 10am
