Matt, Marc and Grant are running a CLUB TRIP G2/3 paddling weekend in the Lake District on 25 and 26 January. This trip is open to those who would like to be led on Grade 2/3 rivers the Lakes in a Club Trip environment. This is ideal for those who have paddled the Dee, and keen to move on up through the rivers.
There is also the option to join the weekend as a PEER PADDLER, responsible for your own safety and decision making on the river.
In an ideal world, with just the right amount of water, we will paddle the Kent, Lune and Leven over the weekend. On Friday 24th there will be a PEER PADDLE G3/4, location to be decided. This will not be suitable for less experienced paddlers.
These events are best with a great social element. We have therefore reserved the Witherslack bunk house for the event, that will accommodate 18 people at £27pppn. YOU WILL NEED TO RESERVE YOUR PLACE AT THE BUNK HOUSE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. If staying with us please choose the ‘with accommodation’ ticket type so we know who’s staying. You will need to pay them direct, by emailing them at info@witherslackcyclebarn.co.uk and they will invoice you directly.
If you would prefer to camp at a local campsite or arrange any other accommodation please use the ‘own accommodation’ ticket type, and make the necessary arrangements direct.
If you’re unsure if this trip is for you, please get in touch.
Paddlers will need;
Boat with airbags, paddle, white water BA, helmet, deck, winter paddling personal kit (pref dry suit, decent wet suit and Cag a minimum), footwear. Whistle and other safety kit that you are competent using. If you need to hire any club equipment please call Grant on 07837 963160 to arrange collection from the container.
Cheers, Matt, Grant and Marc (MGM)
