It's time once again for the annual Atcham Church Fete and Duck Race!
Sun 5th July 2.00 - 5-00 pm.
You know, the usual tombola, bric a brac and for us, getting on the water and catching Ducks! (only the plastic ones!)
This then allows us to use Paradise field for the rest of the year, which is just before the bridge and great for beginners to practice ferry Gliding. So PLEASE help! It's a lovely bit of flatwater fun!
We need canoes, kayaks and SUPs to sit below the bridge and, when the ducks are released, go catch them pack them back up for next year! We then have tea and cake and the knowledge we have helped a local charity event.
Time on the water 15:00 at the field. Ducks released about 15:30. Kids welcome to come and help, bring your nets or grabbers or just your hands and have fun or come early to enjoy the fete. We need about 10 boats and at least 3 canoes to stand a chance of grabbing the little yellow plastic slippery ducks.
Any questions please speak to Andy Brooker on 07801 833044 who is coordinating this year. Thanks!
