We are excited to let club members know that coaching support is available from Slalom & White Water Racing Rep & Club Coach Nick Redshaw at the following Slalom Event in August:

Llandysul, Ceredigion on August 8th & 9th- Division 2/3 & 4 Slalom, River Teifi, Organising canoe club is Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Centre. This is grade 1-2 water and can be shallow in the summer.

The division 4 event is suitable for those completely new to slalom as it is held on the lake, situated right next to the event campsite.

Basic camping is available right next to the river & lake and needs to be booked through Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Centre: https://llandysul-paddlers.org.uk

Nick is not organising the slalom event but will kindly be there to offer club members tips on slalom techniques and getting down the slalom course as effectively as possible!

Kit wise - for newcomers to slalom it's fine to use a plastic boat. Helmets, buoyancy aids & suitable footwear essential. If you need to hire kit from the club please book this out via the website & if you need assistance with kit collection please get in contact well before the event.
