River Dart Club Trip

Andy and Matt (and maybe some others!!) would love to see you on this 2/3 club trip to the river Dart in Devon. 13th-15th November! The 13th will likely be a peer paddle - hopefully on the upper dart (grade 4), with club led trips on the 14th and 15th! Rain dependent, it is likely to be at least 1, if not 2 trips down the Dart Loop - with the potential for some alternative tributaries or the lower section if possible.

It's a great opportunity to do some of the UK's most classic WW a little further from home and have a laugh :)

Accommodation

The Dart Country Park has dorm rooms, they have provisionally booked 1 for the group, the cost is £38 per person/per night including breakfast each morning, to book, please email info@riverdart.co.uk and let them know you'd like to book a bed in the Shrewsbury canoe club group, payment will be direct to them. 

There may also be alternative smaller bedroom options if that suits you better, feel free to ask them. There is an option for a few vans to stay on the car park, the public camping is closed but there is lots of flat ground to park up! This is £15 per night without breakfast, book the same way!

Pre-requisites

The usual required kit of WW Boat with air bags, spray deck, paddles, helmet and buoyancy aid + weather appropriate clothing! This will be a 2/3 led club trip, so if you've done the Dee / Lower T this will be ideal, if you're worried or would like to work out if it's right for you, feel free to drop Andy a message on 07577180826. 

Club boats available for hire - see website. Transport of boat, kit and people is for own arrangement, but happy to help where possible with organising sharing lifts!
